Pluto and Charon imaged by HST

Composite color image of Pluto and Charon taken by the Hubble Space Telescope (HST)'s Faint Object Camera.

 

This is the clearest view [at the time] of Pluto and it's largest moon, Charon.

The image was taken by the European Space Agency's Faint Object Camera on February 21, 1994.
