Tower Butte
Perhaps one of the easiest images I've ever photographed and 'developed', this colorful sunrise on our very first morning on Lake Powell was captured on the deck of a houseboat about 10 ft. away from the room I slept in. Only one other passenger rose early to witness this event.
A little over three years ago, I took a photo tour of Lake Powell with Peter Böhringer as our host and guide. Since that maiden voyage, Peter found many new places to photograph while sharpening his already fine skills as a pilot and a host. So it was an easy decision on my part to enlist in another tour last week, especially with the future water levels of the Lake in question. This tour easily surpassed the 2015 voyage, which is saying something. As a watercraft of some sort is necessary to see and shoot the very best that this stunning sandstone/desert environment has to offer, it's easy for me to heartily endorse this unique photo tour.
