Blue & Gold

What do you do in the middle of a bluebird day on Lake Powell while cruising to a new destination? Why, keep shooting of course!

Actually, I was perfectly content relaxing on the upper deck enjoying a fine cup of coffee (thanks, Steve!) and watching the canyon walls pass by. Then I looked down at the mirror still waters and saw these incredible shapes of the reflected canyon walls distorted by our boat's wake. I grabbed my camera and made several images of these wonderful abstractions. Thank goodness for image stabilized lenses! This one was one of my favorites.
