The Aletsch glacier

It, too, is happily melting away...But it still remains the longest glacier in the Alps.

Photo taken on August 26th, 2019 from Eggishorn. In the distance one sees the "back sides" of Jungfrau (4158 m), Mönch (4110 m) and Eiger (3967 m), the three most celebrated peaks in the Bernese Alps.
