Katsuni (born April 9, 1979 in Lyon, France) is a French actress and bikini model. Katsuni was 18 when she moved to Paris and started working as fashion and glamour model while studying political science and literature in preparation for a career as a literature teacher. Three years later, she met a Penthouse magazine photographer who approached her about posing as a erotic model, eventually leading to her being asked to perform in adult films. She become the first contract girl with Penthouse France. Today, with more than 300 movies and many box and magazine covers to her name, Katsuni has become the most famous French star in the world. With 29 international awards from Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Mexico, Berlin, Barcelona, Turin and Paris, including 12 AVN Awards, she’s the actress with biggest numbers of awards. She has been named Best French Actress, Best European Actress and Best Foreign Female Performer in the United States, and has been on the cover of AVN magazine twice. She also has been voted “Favorite Actress” by the readers of the French magazines Hot Video and Chobix, and Rocco Siffredi asked her to be his partner in his very last scene. 2007:She originally performed using the stage name Katsumi (a common given name in Japan for both sexes), but she was barred by a French judge in January 2007 from using the name after a woman named Mary Katsumi sued over the resemblance to her own name.
2008: She confirms her status of international actress by playing one of the main characters in the biggest budget of the adult industry, PIRATES 2 (Digital Playground).
