A brutal Confrontation...
In an alternate Post-Apocalyptic universe, a virus that was supposed to make the living deranged, zombie-like beasts, instead attacked and controlled the unexpected, Machines.
This virus caused brutal mutations to most AIs. These mutations were caused by the bacteria, which began to control and inhabit the minds of artificial intelligences. The physical and mental mutations the virus caused very often made machines Crazed killers. Not all of the machines at the time were infected, many of them being almost totally immune. Some small clans that were founded after the outbreak discovered the advantages of using the Virus. One of the Largest Discoveries was that, if injected into the blood stream, the Bacterium would bond with the Red blood cells. When the virus bonded with the red blood cells, they were given the ability to carry more oxygen to the muscle and tissue cells. This increased the metabolism, and enlarged the muscles, allowing people to quickly burn fat, use energy more efficiently, and lift excess weight without straining the Bones or muscles. The daily life for a human was to scavenge for food, and avoid being killed by the mutated Machines.
