Like a sitting duck

The Lesser Scaup is one of the most abundant of diving duck species, which can be differentiated from the Greater by the shape of the head and the size among other things. There numbers are on the decline but they are not listed as vulnerable yet. The mainly migrate south along the Mississippi flyway but a few do venture east.
