I love the stance - it's one that seems to be characteristic of of only a few months of a human's life; when elasticity, mobility, and curiousity are all present in just the right proportions.
Ms. Frensen also very effectively conveys the dynamism of the subject - we can almost see the next moment taking shape.

One of his early works is shown at left. He has captured his mentor's dynamism, and applied it to the genre of the Abstract. Note how the close black lines near the top are balanced and relieved by the smooth, open, orange curves at bottom and right. At left we have several lines guiding us into the heart of the work; where brief, vibrant dashes of gold and violet let us know that we have arrived.
