Winwick Junction, WCRC 37669 & 37706 Pathfinder Tours 'The Chester Christmas Explorer Mini Tour' 1Z42 (Chester - Blackburn - Chester) 22/11/25.
After being held up behind two late running northbound Pendo's occupying both down platforms at Warrington Bank Quay, WCRC 37669 & 37706 find a window of sun on a sombre day and make the noise only a pair of EE 37's can approaching Winwick Junction this afternoon.
The Pathfinder Tours penultimate Railtour had started at Oxford and ran via Gloucester and Shrewsbury to Chester. In true Pathfinder tradition a £25 Mini Tour was tacked on and ran via WCML to Lostock Hall Jct and on to Blackburn. The 37's took on Copy Pit to Todmorden and thence Calder Valley route to Manchester and back to Chester.
