Glazebrook East, 37109 (10.58 Cadishead British Tar Products - Haverton Hill) November 25th 1989.

BR 37109 propels its nine bogie tanks out onto the CLC main Liverpool - Manchester line at Glazebrook East Junction.

British Tar Products at Cadishead was located at the end of the former Exchange sidings that linked the Manchester Ship Canal coal basin at Partington. To my left was the trackbed of the Cheshire Lines Committee route to Partington and Skelton Junction that crossed the Manchester Ship Canal on a high level bridge that still stands today but is blocked off.

* Vulcan Foundry (Newton-le-Willows) product of February 1963 37109 was withdrawn January 2005 but thankfully found its way into preservation at the East Lancashire Railway.
