Bamfurlong, LSL 20096, 20107 & 57007 0Z65 (0808 Carlisle High Wapping Sdgs to Crewe H.S.) 28/07/22.
Currently seeing quite a lot of use, LSL 20096 & 20107 were used to move former DRS & Freightliner 57007 from Carlisle to Crewe this morning. Seen here running ahead of booked time having just passed Bamfurlong Junction.
57007 is believed to be joining the LSL fleet.
* The Ashton Hanson stone train with GBRf 60096 and the Ravenhead - Chaddesden sand empties with DCR 56091 passed on the far lines 20-30 mins earlier but came to a halt as the light guarding Haydock Branch Junction failed to come off.
Network Rail response team attended the scene after a long walk and the sand eventually got away two hours late.
** Bamfurlong Station existed on the far slow lines just this side of Lily Lane bridge in the background, closed in 1950.
