Another two sets of Merseyrail Class 777 EMU's were moved to Crewe for two man operation modifications this morning.
Dawn was breaking when I heard the unmistakable 'chopper' roar working over Sankey Viaduct before the headlight for 20007 came into view, the veteran pair are seen slowing for the platform 3 curve.
* Unbelievably still in revenue earning service 20007 (D8007) left Vulcan Foundry on September 19th 1957 and 20142 (D8142) was one of the last batch entering service May 21st 1966.
