Arlington: New Attire
Maybe at 12 pm, the day after we got the supercomputer, Mike and I got a phone call from Jerrick to meet him at Patton Arms. He said he had a surprise for us. God, this man is full of them. Stopping Michael's computer lesson, we took my car to Patton Arms. Right at the entrance of the building, we were greeted by Jerrick and Arnold.
"You guys are gonna love this," Jerrick stated, "State of the art technology shit."
"Now, now, Jerrick, we can't give all of our armor pieces to masked vigilantes," Arnold interrupted.
"Sure you can! You're Patton Arms, go sell some guns or something." At that comment from Jerrick, Arnold shrugged.
We were led up the elevator into one of the pre-production rooms. Upon entering, Arnold said, "Guys, this is the new Patton Arms coffee maker, Makes a mean cup of coffee and has several weapons all around it. Any of you want some?"
"I'll take about 80 percent whisky and 20 percent coffee in mine," Jerrick replied while Michael declined and I accepted the offer.
"No way in hell am I trusting you with alcohol in a weapons manufacturing plant," Arnold responded as re pored mine and his coffee.
With a smirk on his face, Jerrick replied, "Fair enough." Leading us over to a cape and hood, Jerrick continued, "Now this is what I called you guys for."
"It's memory cloth," Arnold said.
"The stuff Batman uses," Jerrick interrupted,"So you can glide with it."
Ecstatic, I asked, "How does it work?"
Handing me a glove, Arnold told me, " That glove shoots an electrical current through it, stiffening it and realigning the molecules."
Trying it out, I said, "Oh, man. This is awesome."
Seemingly speaking his first, Michael stated, "And that armor and hilt on the table, anything extravagant about them?"
"Oh, that hilt's for another time. You guys can take the armor, I suppose," Arnold replied.
