WWII civilian dead buried in the Garrison Cemetery. In these graves rest 20 civilians including 12 children who died from Allied bombing and strafing attacks.

The 2nd paragraph deals with the history of the air war.

On the 9th of April 1945 Allied bombers missed the airfield in Stade and hit residential areas, 47 people died in Campe, Stade.

On the 24th of April allied fighter bombers attacked the railway station, at least 14 civilian died including 4 children. Most were buried in family plots, refugees were buried in the Garrison Cemetery. The people were in queue to receive food from railcars.
