Description: This was late afternoon on a wintry day, taken along the Grand Canal. I loved the warm light of the sun that was low in the sky. It was painting beauty into the water, with the ochre and golden colors from the ancient buildings. Blue poles stood out as luscious contrast. Thank you Venice!
This photo was taken around the same time of year (early March) as my Paris images that I took on similar late afternoons two winters before this. (see the photos posted last week). Clearly one must wait for the late light of afternoon to bring the color out, and it's worth it!
