Construction Techniques
The band of bark which forms the lid side is cut out in a straight line along the bottom, and alternates in a straight and convex line along the top of the band, matching the liner projections. This band is sen together and then decorated with root and/or quills. Afterwards, the quilled lid-top is warmed and curved slightly, then sewn to the band-thus forcing it into a trunk-top shape.
