Our main course.

Not a brilliant photo, but it was one of those days. None of the photos I took before lunch / at lunch time are 100% in focus. Although our Starters came out better than the other two.

 

We had roast lamb, roast potatoes and leeks with a sauce soubise to compliment it all.

 

We par-boiled the potatoes before putting them in the oven well before the meat needed to go in. Then as even our new roasting tray isn't big enough for everything. Cooked the lamb and while it was resting put the roast potatoes back in to finish cooking. Best roast potatoes we've had.

 

The sauce soubise is a white sauce with a bit of a kick. Firstly gently sauté an onion, when the white sauce is ready, put half of it in a liquidizer or the like with half the cooked onions and blitz. Then add that back to the rest of the sauce and mix in well. It's delicious.
