A yellow Iris.
After I'd finished talking to Julian yesterday I carried on walking down the road and found these wonderful yellow Irises in a delightful garden.
Monsieur explained to me that Madame deals with the flowers while he does the heavier work. Though sadly it was beginning to get too much for him.
Oddly here we have landscape gardeners (like Julian) and we have people who will come in and keep the gardens in order while you aren't here. Or like us once a month just to keep the grass and hedges tidy, but we don't have gardeners who will come in and do the gardening for you.
