84/100 Strangers (Round III).
Although I’d been out all morning I wanted to go to the Fête, “Trace ta Route” in St. Gilles in the afternoon. When I got into the Place there was almost no-one there which wasn’t a good sign, other than I saw Martyn again, he was helping with the animation and was sitting talking to some other friends before going off to the main part of the fun. He introduced me to his friend and suggested I asked her if she’d take part in my project. Maybe I ought to employ him as my agent!!
Meet Messa, she’s 40 years old and originally comes from Algeria, but has lived in France for the last 23 years. She’s a Social Worker by trade and likes to relax and spend time with her daughters and friends when she’s not working. When she was younger she had wanted to do something in architecture but her maths wasn’t good enough.
I took several photos of Messa where she was sitting, but she was also watching her younger daughter who was near the road. I chose the main photo because it was my favourite and have added another one in comments, as usual. I also got permission to take a photo of Messa and her eldest daughter together and another one of her younger one. (All in comments). I then asked if there was anything she hadn’t liked to eat as a child and she said yes. She didn’t and still doesn’t like peas. It’s not a very convincing photo of not liking something, but it was obvious that she didn’t like them.
I then took my notes and we chatted for a while, but with other people coming up to talk to us and keeping an eye on her little one we didn’t get to talk that much. She gave me her e-mail address so I can end her the photos.
