Barton Clay Pits Disused track
Barton Clay Pits as seen in September 2017. Not entirely sure on the details but I can imagine that the narrow gauge railway that ran to the clay works all ceased running at least 20 years ago. If you click on the image you can see an arc of track leading from the decent sized green tree in the centre still runs through the grass and under the bridge.
I can remember seeing this track running there was at least one daily trip from the pits to the works in the early 1990s.
