PROJECT 365, Day 111: 5/14/11 -- Mobile, AL, Buildings Distraction
My friend, Matt, and me were on our way to Florida to do some business and watch the rescheduled launch of Space Shuttle Endeavor. In Mobile, we were awed by the buildings there and managed to be in the wrong lane to continue along Interstate 10. We ended up in downtown on Water Street and it was quite the chore getting back onto Interstate. 10. I chose this one rather than the full building pictures because it shows just how distracted we were! It's not like this city does not warn you which lane to be in! Some navigator I am (a chore at which I normally excel).
(My original post said this was in Pensacola. Thanks to Robrrt, I was corrected this was Mobile but I was also reminded of the rough time we had getting across the bay because we got stuck in a bicycle marathon and the police would not let us go the way we needed. By the time we got across the bay and out of the downtown Water Street confusion, we had lost nearly an hour in Mobile. My apologies to Mobile and Pensacola residents for messing this one up!)
