Autumn lace card

My first card in a while, I've been away over the summer. This card is for Hero Arts September challenge (Everything Autumn) and for Card Patterns #81. The circle lace stamp was embossed with different colours embossing powder (verdigris, red, butterscotch, copper and gold). The leaves were gold embossed. The dotted background was made by dry embossing a piece of glossy cardstock, sanding it, applying alcohol inks, sanding it again and applying some more inks. Jennifer McGuire taught this technique in the Thinking Inking classes on Two Peas. Since the metallic alcohol inks kind of remain on the surface on non-glossy surfaces, the sanded spots are mainly gold (I don’t know how well it shows in the photo, it was pretty hard to photograph this card). The green background was sponged with Distress inks (Peeled Paint, Pine Needles and Forest Moss). After drying it thoroughly with my heat gun I stamped the text stamp using Forest Moss and dusted Bronze Perfect Pearls on top of it. The text is very shimmery, which was also hard to capture on the photo. TFL!!

Supplies: Hero Arts stamps: Starburst Lace (S5317), Scattered Leaves (CL298), Old Letter Writing (S4878); Cuttlebug embossing folder; Distress and Alcohol inks; velvet ribbon; brads.
