Feed Them to the Sharkticons
The teleport elsewhere disorients Mikaela! Sam supports her as the Doctor quickly surveys the unknown location that the three have been transported to. He sees that they stand above a pit of glowing mech fluid that is swarmed by ferocious Sharkticons! The Doctor quickly gathers that they are on the ground level of Quintesson trial and execution chamber! There are four armed Alligatacons on the ground level, all in warrior mode! At a podium, hovering on a glowing pink repulsor beam, an aggressive looking Quintesson Bailiff stood, its eight tentacles, four on each shoulder, swaying wildly in anticipation of the kill! High above them all on a grand balcony, was a vile, five-faced Quintesson judge!
Bailiff: 'You have been brought here today to stand trial for crimes committed against the Quintesson Empire! Before a judgement is handed out, would you care to beg for your lives? It sometimes helps, but not often!'
Sam: 'Where are we? How did we get here?'
The Doctor ignores both the Bailiff and Sam and stares straight into the optic sensors of the Quintesson Judge. The Doctor begins to clap his hands.
Doctor: 'Bravo! Oh yes! Bravo on your accomplishment! My hat's off to you, sir!'
Bailiff: 'Silence, or you will be held in contempt of this court!'
Doctor: 'I mean no disrespect, Your Honour! My applause was sincere! Look at what you have accomplished here! More importantly, consider what you are about to accomplish!! Time travel! Interdimensional time travel no less! You plan on tearing apart the very fabric of time and space and pull an entire planet into the void! Bravo!'
The Quintesson Judge glares at the Doctor.
Judge: 'Quintesson science prefers to call it 'unspace'.'
Doctor: 'Ah! My apologies then.'
Sam and Mikaela look at the Doctor sideways as he appears genuinely impressed, running his fingers through his hair in amazement as he walks around the metallic plank.
Doctor: 'Pulling a planet into unspace. It's quite remarkable.'
Judge: 'We are pleased that you approve.'
Doctor: 'And you'll be the first race in the history of the universe to test the Bylanthium Principle! Brilliant!'
The Quintesson Bailiff flashes a look of confusion toward the Judge. The Judge remains silent. The Doctor pauses for an instant and reflects.
Doctor: 'That is, IF the Principle proves true.'
Judge: 'We are confident it will, Doctor, but your concern will be kept on record.'
Doctor: 'Of course, if one were to analyze the entire scenario a little closer and peel back the layers of your mission and your goal, one may begin to question which outcome would be more advantageous for your race.'
Judge: 'Explain.'
Doctor: 'Well, I couldn't help but notice that not on one, but two occassions, that Quintesson science has been integrated, quite substantially I might add, with that of the Dalek race.'
Judge: 'We are aware of your history with the Daleks.'
Doctor: 'It's obvious that you've done your homework then! Now, would the Court grant a condemned man one last request?'
Judge: 'It will.'
Doctor: 'What is the natur eof your relationship with the Daleks?'
Judge: 'We have an alliance with the Daleks through the Galactic Empire of Darth Vader.'
Sam turns to Mikaela.
Sam: 'Wait, did he just say 'Darth Vader'?'
The Bailiff interrupts Sam's query.
Bailiff: 'Request granted! Has the Imperial Magistrate reached a verdict?'
Doctor: 'Woah! Wait! Hang on! What's the harm in answering a question or two? After all, it might save your lives.'
