The Tucaros Hunt For Outback

While Barbecue, Dataframe are captured and Jungle Viper stalks Recondo, Outback has his own problems.

The GI Joe survival specialist has been charged with the task of watching over Ripcord, who with the cerebro-shell implanted in his brain, is being used as a decoy to lure the Tucaro hunting parties away from the Cobra base. Ripcord, still completely unaware of the situation and his true role in the mission, is relieved when Outback takes off his blindfold and ear plugs.

Ripcord: Oh man, thank you Outback!

Outback: Don’t mention it.

Ripcord: Why won’t anyone tell me what’s going on? Where are the others?

Outback: I’ll tell you later. If you want to stay alive, you’ll have to do exactly what I say. Got it?

Ripcord: Got it.

Outback: You tired?

Ripcord: Oh man, you have no idea. Dead tired…

Outback: Then find a comfy tree and go to sleep. Just forget about me and have sweet dreams.

Ripcord: You sure? Where are the others?

Outback: Just do what I say. I’ll handle the rest.

Ripcord: If you say so man…

He sits down and tries to rest.

Ripcord: I just really wish that…

He quickly notices that Outback is nowhere to be seen.

Outback: (Hiding somewhere) Go to sleep! You’re going to need it…

As fatigued as he is, Ripcord finally drifts off to sleep, As he rests Outback is kept busy evading the numerous Tucaro hunting parties searching specifically for him. It’s a long night filled with several close calls, but Outback outfoxes them all, not resorting to violence once as he keeps an eye on the Turcaro’s watching Ripcord.
