Babbage Engine Demonstration

This is a demonstration of the Babbage Difference Engine that is housed at the Computer History Museum. The machine was faithfully reproduced from the designs of Charles Babbage and to the manufacturing standards of his time. The operator must maintain a steady rhythm with the hand crank, although the force required to do so varies throughout the cycle.
