Playing with the "house plant" idea ...
The string is part of a sculpture I made for an art class years ago. The leaves are stuck through the string which is wrapped around a frame. The background? My [still] unmade bed. It would be nice to say "no leaves were hurt in the making of this photograph," but, alas, they've been sacrificed. It remains to be seen how pleased the art gods are.
