77 souls

I believe many of you know what happened two days ago in Norway. It’s been all over the news. Everybody’s writing about it on facebook. First, an explosion in the capital city. Then a couple of hours later, on a small island near Olso at a youth campus, a man says that he’s a police officier and tell the kids to come closer and not be afraid, but then, he shoots them all, everyone he can see. Some try to rescue themselves by jumping into the lake. Some survive, some doesn’t.

He took 77 people’s lives and there’s a dozen people that are being treated in the hospital.

This is for them.

77 innocent people were killed.

Eight of them by a bomb explosion.

69 of them were young, politically interested that got shot, on the island.

Sixty-nine.

They were on a campus, to express their thought. Share them with other youth. They were there to celebrate and honor the democracy, with 600 other kids.

12% of them are not alive today. Almost one fifth of them. Dead.

What for?

Politics. Democracy. Human rights. The will of changing the world into a better place.

They were there to stand up for these things. Because they care.

I know so many people who don’t give a fuck about any politics. They don’t care.

They cared. They had an idea, a hope to change.

So they were killed. In a way that hurts into my soul.

One man took 8 people’s lives that were just unlucky to be there at that point. The same man killed 69 innocent young people because what they stood for, with his bare hands. Because the cared.
