1998 Ferrari F300

Once upon a time, there were some really good displays at the British Grand Prix. This is a 1998 Ferrari F300 Grand Prix Car.

It was driven in 1998 by seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine. Schumacher would take an F300 to victory on six occasions, including at Silverstone in monsoon-like conditions. Twelve months on and the weather couldn't be more different - blazing sunshine!.

At the end of the season, Schumacher would finish as runner-up to Mika Hakkinen in the Drivers Championship with Eddie Irvine finishing on the podium eight times to end the season fourth overall. Ferrari would end the season as second best constructor behind McLaren.

As a footnote, this was taken on the day that Schumacher would break his leg in an accident at Stowe corner, ending his 1999 title hopes.
