Lake Suwa's Omiwatari(Passage of the Gods)
The old legend of my town.
there were a goddess named Yasakatome-no Mikoto (八坂刀売命) and a god, Takeminakata-no Mikoto(建御名方命).
When it is winter, the Lake Suwa freezes entirely.
Takeminakata-no Mikoto walks to the opposite bank to meet Yasakatome-no Mikoto .
He chops a footprint on the surface of the ice.
The Japanese calls it is OMIWATARI.
The ice was height 1m in old days.
Unfortunately it is unusual that he meets her by global warming.
