Before I put the pendant into the LoS solution, I made sure that it was super-clean. I tumbled it and scrubbed it, using liquid soap and an old tooth-brush. Then I mixed up a stronger solution of the Liver of Sulphur gel. I dipped the pendant in and in a couple of seconds, it had gone a really beautiful deep black colour with little irridescent streaks of purples and blues. Next to the pendant are the earrings that have returned to their copper colour after a 'tumble' :-) At least, I have learned how to remove LoS patina if I don't like it - shove them straight into the tumbler. When I dip them in the next LoS solution, I have learned that they have to be super-clean and to make the LoS solution a litle stronger :-)
