9/3/11 Finger-hole sawn TADA365 No:101
I have drilled through the wooden ring shape with the spade drill bit and a very important lesson has been learned. It is better to drill the finger-hole through the whole piece of wood and use the template to draw your desired ring shape around the hole. I drilled another ring that I had filed and sanded before this and managed to split it. Driling into a the whole piece of wood obviously makes a stronger material than trying to drill through an already filed and sanded ring which by its size is obvious a more delicate piece. Oh well - an important lesson learnt :-)
