Zanthoxylum armatum (Rutaceae)

Maybe not the most elegant plant, but once it catches your eye (preferably not literally) it is intriguing. Winged petiole, flattened spines at the base of the leaf, spicy smelling fruits (it is Rutaceae after all), plenty i think to provide some interest. Found from the Himalayas to eastern Asia.
