This shot was taken shortly after a passing vehicle left the frame, having disrupted the waters and left fresh tread marks.

 

Soil not protected by ground-cover or anchored by roots is much more susceptible to erosion. It may be liberated and transported by rainfall, snow-melt, and increased with human interaction. In this shot an over-saturated ground bleeds ocher with silt and clay-carrying water.
