London Transport Type K1 Trolleybus 1253 EXV 253 Interior view
Resting tightly packed into the new London Transport Museum is former London Transport Trolleybus #1253 EXV 253 a Leyland K1 Type. This interior photo of the downstairs taken from the platform clearly indicates the simplicity, neatness and practicality of the design. In my view these were the very best vehicles ahead of their time environmentally but i guess in the 1960's when they were withdrawn from use nobody even knew the word environment existed.
Thankfully the interior is not over restored and remains very much as in withdrawn condition.
