I adopted another cat!
lol.....perhaps it was tempting fate when I packed that particular nightshirt to take to the shore with me!
Well, Sally officially became a Cat Hill Farm cat today.
I packed up the car this morning, and by mid-afternoon we were back at the farm. She handled the 2 hr. car ride like a champ, with just a little crying when I first put her in the carrier.
I've set up a hospitality cage in my livingroom. Floydd rushed her aggressively, and she hissed and growled, which freaked him out....he has retreated to the 2nd floor. Simon has checked her out through the cage but is more interested in the fact that she has yummy smelling food in there. I had to move the bowl to the center of the cage because he was fishing it out from between the bars!
Leo is pointedly ignoring her, and if Stella has noticed her she's not letting on yet.
Sally isn't too enamored with the idea of being locked into a cage, even though it's big enough to fit her bed, food and at the other end her litterbox.
She's safe in there when I'm not in the room. She is happier laying on a blanket on top of the cage when I'm sitting close by. From her vantage point there she can pretty much see all the comings and goings, and none of the other cats can sneak up on her.
I think she's going to get on fine.
I'll catch up with everyone as soon as I get settled back in!
