Meet Simon
You know how I said that I didn't have to go out of my way to look for a cat to adopt?
Well, today I met Simon and Floydd. They were in DESPERATE need of a home. The rescue that they came from is full to capacity. The only place they could find for these two was in a small cramped cage in the back of a small pet store. Twice somebody had filled out paperwork to adopt them, but then never showed up to take them.
Larry and I had been talking about finding a companion cat for Leo, since Bella and Alex are so much older and Stella and May are not interested in being his buddy.
Of course it was only my intention to adopt one cat, but Simon and Floydd had become pretty good buddies in that small cramped cage, even though they are not litter mates. I hated to separate them.
So meet the newest members of Cat Hill Farms.
Both have been to the vets and have a clean bill of health. They have had their first round of shots and both have been neutered, so there will be no heartbreaking ending to this story.
Simon here is about 6 months old. He was just neutered yesterday and is still taking it easy. He is very shy and I think it will take some time for him to feel comfortable, Floydd is the complete opposite.....very friendly, and not afraid of anything! I'm hoping that he'll help Simon here make an easy transition.
