Awhile ago I took a cruise on the Skimmer/Salt Marsh Safari, and got to learn a lot of interesting facts about osprey.
It seems that each osprey couple develops their own "style" of decorating.
There was one couple that liked dangley things...they had lots of rope, long strips of material, even a string of Christmas lights.
Another couple had a "thing" for caution tape. The entire nest was interwoven with yellow tape.
There was another couple that they called "The Minimalists".
They were content to throw about a dozen sticks up on the platform and call it home!
George and Martha's nest was a solid structure, and seemed to be mostly made of natural materials...but John and Abigail's nest is more loosely "knit" and much more cluttered with all sorts of junk.
