making the stuffing

I had a "full circle moment" today.

Tara had to unexpectedly work today, and asked if I could keep an eye on Chloe.

I had several chores to do, and some prep work for tomorrow's dinner while she was hanging out.

One of the things on the list was to rip up the bread for the stuffing (DON'T ask why I do not use the already cubed stuff in the bag.........loooooong story, but, let's just say my Mother's voice would haunt me from beyond the grave if I did not shred that bread up myself!).

When I was a kid, my grandmother would come to our house...usually a couple of days before Thanksgiving.

I used to hang in the kitchen while she was doing the prep work for our big family get together. She would always sit me at the table with a stack of stale bread and have me rip it into a bowl.

When Chloe came into the kitchen today and asked if she could help I knew just what to do!

LOL! She LOVED it, and took the job very seriously.

I told her that the pieces couldn't be too big, and she really concentrated on getting the pieces just the right size!

.When I count all my blessing tomorrow, I'm going to have to count this kid twice!
