What about WInston?
I wish I knew!
Winston is a big mystery.
He was still living in our garage late last spring, and then all of the sudden he was gone. We didn't see him during the summer, except for a day or two in July.
A couple of weeks after I got back from the shore, I saw him sitting in the garage doorway.
As soon as he saw me, he walked back into the garage. When he saw that I was following, he ran up the ladder to the 2nd floor and sat near the dishes we'd fed him in, that were now empty, and stared at me.
So now we're back to the same routine we had before he disappeared.
He shows up at dinner time, when I call everyone else in.
He sits in the garage doorway until I bring his dish of food, then races up the ladder to "his spot". In the morning, he'll be sitting in the doorway again, and we repeat the process.
Does he have another place he goes that feeds him?
Does anyone actually "own" him?
Does he now consider Cat Hill Farm his "winter residence"?
He still won't let me touch him. He's VERY skittish.
I sure wish I could get him checked out by a vet.
I've considered trapping him, however I'm not into stressing him out.
