algae necklace

On Sunday, Larry and I finally dropped down to Cape May to walk around the nature trails near the lighthouse. The temperatures had dropped about 10 degrees, and it was ONLY a balmy 88 degrees in the shade.

By the time we got done our walk and got back in the car I was just a puddle of sweat.

Not much doin' down there......just saw the regulars....mallards, white herons, snowy egrets, and of course the ever present Mute Swans.

I'm sure there were other species hidden away out in the marshes, but it was just too hot for anything much to be moving around.....just the crazy people on the trail (Larry and I only passed one other group of people on the trail as crazy as we were to be out there!)......probably would have been much better 1st thing in the a.m.

There is a TON of algae in the ponds this year.
