I don't know why I don't photograph mallards more often. They really are quite lovely ducks.
It's probably because I've lumped them in with all those birds that are just so common in our neck of the woods, you almost overlook them. Like American robins, blue jays, Canada Geese, song sparrows.....
I think I'll try to be more aware of this. All these birds are lovely in their own right, and deserve more attenton than I give them!
