last night of the old year
Larry and I made our annual New Year's Eve mecca downtown to catch the fireworks display over Penn's Landing and have a sumptuous dinner at the historic City Tavern.
The crowds this year were light.
The brutal cold kept all but the hardiest individuals home this year.
It was pretty brisk standing on the roof of the parking garage with the perfect view of the festivities. It was a beautiful sight, but I'm glad the show only lasted 20 minutes! I was completely bundled from head to toe, but I don't think I could have stood it another 5 minutes!
How in the world do those crazy people in Times Square stay out there for hours and hours? Insanity!
After a terrific dinner we took the "scenic" route home.
Had to stop real quick at the little pull off on Martin Luther King Drive (it will always be WEST RIVER DRIVE to me!) and take a picture of Boat House Row all lit up in it's holiday best!
