North Lincs Resignalling : Boxing Day 2
BE 39 awaits it's fate whilst it's very efficient and bright yet characterless replacement stands in front having been folded down waiting it's call to arms for some months.
On Boxing Day I called in briefly to Barnetby en route to St James Park to watch the mighty Everton play. I didn't have a lot of time to spare having spent too much time loitering at Ulceby where very little was happening.
In these shots the work which appears to be going on is....
The motors are being fitted to Barnetby East's points whilst Network Rail's S & T are removing usable components from the former Wrawby Junction & Barnetby East signals whilst at Wrawby Junction the new signals are in situ and shining brightly whilst the points are no doubt being worked upon such that they are powered from the new plant rooms / location cabinets.
All the former signals are still in situ whilst all the new ones are also stood up and shining brightly.
Barnetby Station, 12.10 Hrs, 26th December 2015.
