Procession
Part of the Bergh Apton Sculpture Trail 2011.
Talking to one of the "natives" seems like this could be the last one. The event has been taking place on a regular basis since the 1990's, but the original organisers are getting older, the village has only a small pool of resource to draw on, (circa 350 souls), and the events are getting more popular each time, stretching the ability to cater for all the visitors.
There will a village meeting later in the summer to decide whether to call it a day. We Moomins won't have a vote, but sincerely hope they find a way to carry on - we already have 2014 pencilled in in our diaries.
Whatever the decision, thank you people of Bergh Apton for events both past, and hopefully, future.
