September Mornings.

I took this the day before we left for vacation. I really like this one. Something about the way she's holding on to that feather. There's promise in it.

 

Reeling a bit from a horrible day yesterday in which my little one fell down the steps and got pretty busted up. I know these things happen. I know it wasn't my fault. But why do we end up feeling like bad parents anyway? She'll be okay. Her face will heal, her teeth will most likely be fine. It's just so hard to see our fragile little ones get hurt. This has been an emotional week anyway. My husband has been so down about his job, he hates it, he's grumpy, and that makes me grumpy. Well, sad for him. I want to fix it. I want to not dwell in the sadness of it, I want to find solutions. I want to be THAT person. So that's where I am. Not the best place. But, I will stay positive. I WILL.
