Goblin Shark

The National Okinawa Memorial Park Ocean Expo Park has a massive collection of sea life; I placed the goblin shark utilizing the rule of thirds. By offsetting the camera and capturing a portion of the room and a viewer, I could use a size comparison between the man reading about this unique species. The room had minimal lighting, which made the photo more complex in adjusting the settings to avoid blur. I opened the aperture to f/3.5 and selected a shutter speed of 1/40 a second. The shot captures a certain eerie feel with the dim lighting and the creature, which looks like something out of a horror movie; I also like how the auburn glow from the room lighting contrasts the white LED from the tank.
