Due to the valuable services trees provide and relatively low planting costs, the most successful and cost effective method identified for promoting urban forest growth is tree planting (Wu, Xiao, and McPherson 2008; McPherson and Simpson 1998).

 

You can do this at the landscape level by looking at opportunities for forest greening or at a site specific level.
