S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald
A gentleman at the 2009 show had modeled the Edmund Fitzgerald. His scale looks to be H-O (1:87). He built all the accompanying models, too. Every time I see The Big Fitz I can hear Gordon Lightfoot (The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald), and I get all choked up. The 729' laker was lost in a monster Lake Superior gale on November 10, 1975, together with all 29 hands. Due to the exceptionally cold waters of Lake Superior, no bodies were ever recovered. Mighty Fitz has the dubious distinction, so far, of being the last big freighter lost on the Great Lakes.
