SEIKO 6139 - 6005 AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH

Manufacture in 1975 March. Totally mint condition. Dial is dark blue color dial. Chronograph hands are red color. Movement is SEIKO 6139A 17Jewels Automatic Movement. Case is 42mm wide excluding crowns, 47mm lug to lug and 13mm thick. 19mm lug size. 30min chronograph recorder sub-dial. The best example of 1975 6139 Chronograph! 100% Made in Japan.

 

Also known as "Pogue Chrono" watch. Because astronaut "William Pogue" who wore one similar model (SEIKO 6139 yellow dial) during the skylab 4 in 1971.

 

SEIKO's automatic winding chronograph can measure 1/5th of a second accumulate up to 12 hours with hour and minutes recorders for Cal. 6138 watches, and up to 30 minutes with minute recorder for Cal.6139 watches. These chronograph watches also have Tachymeters or Pulsemeters to permit exact calculation. These watches are water resistant, with all Cal.6138 watches and some 6139 watches having a 70-meter water resistant case with specially reinforced HARDLEX glass.
