Day 13: Barong Tagalog
January 13, 2010
This is my Barong Tagalog, a traditional Filipino top worn for formal occasions. It’s commonly made from one of three fabrics. This particular one is made of Piña (Pineapple) cloth, which is hand-loomed from the leaves of the Pineapple plant.
The focus of the photo is the hand-woven embroidery on the cuffs.
